Well, it's so simple you'll be amazed that you didn't think of it before!
Ready? Here goes: YOU DON'T!!!!
There is just no way to do it with a recent MacOS. Older versions (like 7.0
or 7.1 or maybe even 7.6) were small enough that you could open a copy of
the system suitcase, delete the fonts and sounds (except Geneva) and make it
fit. However, the easiest way to make a boot disk these days is to download
the OS 8.1 boot disk from Apple. Wait a second while I fire up the browser
and find it....

Be certain to include that as one whole line, as e-mail progs will wrap it
into a couple.
Well, that will start up all machines that support OS 8.1. If it's newer
than that, ought to have a CD for it, no?
