Hi
I have only been useing Macs for about 16 months now and if you get a
disktools disk and transfer the cut down system file then go into your
system file and put just the extention file for appleshare. this WILL boot!
Then transfer the system file for appleshare to the bare hdd shutdown and
then put the chosser from the apple menu in you working Mac on the disk and
restart with the boot floppy. once up and running open the chooser put
appleshare in and select the hdd from your good Mac and your away.
the boot disk that i am useing was for the duo 230 i then just used the
system file and then changed the enabler took out the hd setup and disk
first aid and put in the other things mentioned.
I also have on an external disk all of the enablers for powerbooks upto g3
but not including and a copy of os from 7.1 through to 9.
if you need any help i will be glad to ?
