I don't have a problem signing this, but Apple won't listen! As an Educator I have seen Apple computers being taken out of schools and PC's put in their place, mostly Dell's. That came from Apple trashing the network of suppliers that already had their foot in the door and replacing them with only Apple people. It came from ignorance on the part of most School Boards about the quality and longevity of Apple computers, along with business owners demanding that High Schools become Technical Schools to train students on the PC's they had in their businesses. It came from the education discount to teachers on Apple computers being a joke, where it should have been at least 30% to get teachers to use and recommend Apple computers to students, instead of the PC's they now recommend. It came from Apple not bothering to advertise that Mac's come with everything, and PC's need a new card for anything from Ethernet to Firewire and finally it came from the idea that no one needs a Floppy Drive anymore, when many teachers use Floppy Disks for students to transfer work form one computer to another and to take work home. In a survey of our High School, only 60% of students had Internet access at home, which makes the transfer of work material from school to home unworkable without a Floppy Drive. I know Apple publishes stories about schools purchasing thousands of Apple computers, which is probably true, but the schools here in the Mid West are buying more and more PC's and less and less Mac's. I love my Mac's and wouldn't have a PC, even though they are getting better, but the way Apple is operating now, I don't know how long they can stay in business if they loose the School's altogether.
