Hi List-members,
I've lurked for awhile now and learned _alot_ from all you helpful
posters, but now I've got a question for y'all and hope someone(s) has
experience and thoughts on this problem.
I bought a Duo 280 screen (complete) to use on my 2300c but when I
installed it and left it on for awhile, the screen corners start to
darken. <http://members.home.com/dankephoto/280screen/280_screen.html>
The right-hand corners get a bit darker than the left. It takes an hour
or so to get noticably dark. It's not the backlight, its still there even
with the BL switched off (viewed with reflected light.) I've used 36w and
45w PSs, seemed to make no difference.
The vendor (adeal.com on eBay) has been terrific, they _instantly_ sent a
replacement screen, but unfortunately that shows the same 'defect(?)'. I
tried one of the screens on one of my 280Cs and it showed the same
darkening there too. I never noticed this effect with the PB250 screen
I'd been using, though maybe I never left it on continuously for as long.
The original 2300C screen also works great.
Am I being too demanding with this? Is this normal or are both these
screens 'faulty'? I usually bet the odds, if I get one 'bad' item, I
assume it's the item, but with two in a row I think maybe its me.
Thanks in advance,
Dan Kraeuter
