Hey there, got a few general questions about a situation I've come upon. I
figured this was the best place to ask :)

One of my sister's teachers was just given several Mac powerbooks and told
to use them or throw them away. Evidently they need work, and she was just
going to toss them until my sister mentioned that I could probably get them
working.

Anyway, the upshot of it is, if I can't get them working they'll likely be
thrown away, and I hate to see a perfectly good computer get thrown out. My
main question centers around screws. I don't know what model these
powerbooks are, do other models have the same T8 size torx screws? Or small
screws of other types? I'm hoping that I can solve any basic hardware
problems, and if I can't get them running, perhaps save a few of the useful
parts (memory, maybe whole logic boards). I have seen a few Duos around this
county, so it's entirely possible they may well be duos.

I really hate the way government schools treat classic computers... it's as
bad as Hollywood and classic cars...
