Carlos,
It will do fine. It will no longer work as a SCSI disk, though.
Over four gigs and that function is lost. On the other hand one
can still hook other computers to the 2300c with a larger than
four gig drive as SCSI disks. I hook up my 280c and 280 to the
2300c with a ten Gig hard drive this way.
Your hard drive brackets may not fit the screw holes in the new
hard drive. You can get adapters from MCE for around $30 or do
what I did. Someone on this list( Mad Scientists unite! ) told
me to use plastic zip ties to tie the brackets to the new hard
drive and then screw the brackets back in place with the new
drive. It has worked great for me. My little 2300c gets drug
all over the place and was knocked off the table by the dog
getting tangled in the power cord and I have had no troubles with
the hard drive ( the poor dog is ancient and senile, I suspect,
how can you really tell with a dog? :-).
If you need more information, just ask.
have fun,
Randy
