Ever wonder why all these batteries (esp. the 2400) have internal chips and temp sensors to monitor battery performance? The Dou was designed when NiCad and NiMh cells were the state of the art. OK, we're not going to get 5+ hours on a 3 oz battery pack, but my Duos will do what I need them to do without emulating a city in Afganistan. Now, if a "Shipstone" type battery/power source is ever invented, all bets off (and if you're not a SF fan, you're not going to understand this reference).
