Yes. I discovered that Cmd-<down_arrow> behaves exactly like Cmd-o or <double_click>. It "opens" whatever is selected. Directories open and files launch their creators. Shift-Cmd-<down_arrow> seems no different than Cmd-<down_arrow>. I believe that both Shift-Cmd-<up_arrow> and Cmd-<down_arrow> are undocumented.
