I think that "disposable computers" is just around the corner. Maybe not
in the context of the machine that you have on your desk (or lap) but
something useable and "internetable". Mind you, this is just an
un-educated guess based on observations of the incredible evolution of
electronics technologies.

I was at Wal-Mart the other day and bought 2 calculators for $1.00 each.
They are battery AND solar powered, battery included. I could not buy a
pad of paper and a pencil for much less than a dollar!

To get back on topic...I also looked for and found the small screwdriver
kit at Wal-Mart which contains the T6 and T8 torx drivers (as mentioned
by someone in this group). I bought two sets, assuming that the quality
would be poor and the bits would wear quickly. Well, since the sets also
included philips and flat drivers which I don't need, I decided to test
the hardness of them. I clamped a small philips head screw in a vice,
then tried twisting it with the Wal-Mart screwdriver. I ended up
completely destroying the screw and did not even "scratch" the
screwdriver! Very hard. I was impressed. And, to top it off, one of the
sets of drivers I bought had 2 T8 bits in it but was missing one of the
philips drivers, so I ended up going home with 3 T8's and 2 T6's for $4.
Take that Snap-On!!
