With electronics prices dropping like they are, some things that wouldn't have been disposable not too long ago almost are now. I accidently fried a 128 meg PC-133 stick of RAM the other day, but didn't bat an eye because I have 1.5 gigs of PC-133 on the way, 3 512 meg sticks I got for $23 each (gotta love Pricewatch). 6-8 months ago, frying a 128 meg stick of RAM would have been a minor disaster, or at least an annoyance. > I was at Wal-Mart the other day and bought 2 calculators for $1.00 each. > They are battery AND solar powered, battery included. Yeah, stuff like that is getting amazing, especially considering that electronic calculators are a relatively recent invention. > To get back on topic...I also looked for and found the small screwdriver > kit at Wal-Mart which contains the T6 and T8 torx drivers (as mentioned > by someone in this group). <snip> That would have been me that mentioned it ;) I'm up to three sets now, sort of. I lost the T8 driver in the original set I had somewhere between work and home, and since the set is so cheap I didn't bother to try too hard to find it, and bought another. Later on, I picked up another set to leave in my car toolbox, and one set to leave around home. A teeny tiny phillips is just so useful for tinkering with stuff :) And you're right, I've been impressed with the strength. The T8 is holding up better than the official Apple tool thingy that came along with a Duo memory upgrade in box I was given. The Apple tool (besides being small and losable) is now mostly round. And I love the wheely thing on the top of the Wal-Mart set :) What's next? A USB toaster perhaps? Scott Holder ---------- Duo/2400 List, The friendliest place on the Net!
