I am having a GLOD like problem: It happened 2 days ago in the late evening, a complete freeze followed by GLOD like symptoms. Last night I had a similar crash.
I am suspecting the battery. It is not like the typical GLOD as it has been proceeded by a crash, rather than a failure to start or wake from sleep. Previous night I left the battery out and the power unplugged. In the morning I restarted with the battery out. All was working fine so I put the battery back in and shut it down and went to work. Last night it would not start, so I did the same routine and restarted, put the battery back in and it froze 5 mins later. Did the routine again but left the battery out and worked for about 2hrs without a problem. I put the battery back in when I shut down and I will see what happens tonight. Short of an easy answer I am ready to get rid of it. I have had it for a year and I have had it repaired at DTT once, and I'm not interested in doing it again. I can sell it for parts, or sell it whole if somebody else wants to get it repaired. If you want parts I will keep the 5g drive and use it in a firewire enclosure. 180mhz 603, 80mbram, GV 10bt and 56k modem card.
