Well, I finally got a new machine, an ibook combo. It is sad, but I must let my beloved Comet go...[sniff]... Before I put it on ebay or the local paper, I though one of you may be interested in it--it would be nice to have someone who appreciate this wonderful machine.
Here is what you'd get: http://pages.prodigy.net/blah/_images/forsalepb2400.jpg The specs: 1.3 gig drive battery about 90 minutes (always have been), with an "extra" dead battery if you want it 80 Meg of RAM GV combo card, 56K and ethernet System 8.1 currently, but I will supply the original 8.0 disk plus an OS 9.1 CD's set. A Sony 4x drive external CD drive thrown in for free with PB scsi adapter original floppy drive and disk tools. The apple decal can be removed easily (but why would you?) All I want is 425$ + shipping. The minuses: a well used machine (not abused!), so there are scratches and dings. The original ac adapter is dead, replaced by Madsonline as you can see. The cord has been repaired once and reinforced to avoid future damage. The panel door on the back has a broken latch, so I repaired it with a small magnet catch. I will find as much of the original docs as I can, but I can't promise a "complete and mint" set of docs and manuals for everything. I'll throw in a backpack laptop carrying case for free.
