Hello Everyone, I just wanted to first take the opportunity to thank everyone on this list for helping and teaching me about my little Duo through out this year. It's time for me to surface from lurking mode. I have a strange problem with my Duo.
I inserted my precious little Duo into the dock only to find the dreaded Flashing Disk with a ?. I attempted to eject it. No response. I pressed the power button on the rear of the dock and it powered off. I press the eject button and it ejected. I reinserted and hit the keyboard power and the flashing disk appeared again after the BONG. I powered down again and ejected. I then fired up the little guy undocked and he started fine. I shut him down and reinserted him into the dock and he started fine. What the heck just happened? Is my Hard Drive ready to retire? A verify with Disk First Aid (version that came with MacOS 8.1) says all is well with the drive. Should I back up the contents of the drive right away? I'm scared to turn the little guy off now.
