What about a SCSI CD-Rom writer or CD-RW unit for offline storage? A used
unit might be available for <$200US. The kids might learn to "rip" their
own music CD's.
If you mean adding in another harddrive for the 2300c, yes, that can be
done. It's probably an IDE drive. Others on the list can guide you on the
installation problems. (When I put a 3gig unit in my 2300, I was able to
obtain a appropriate, ready to use mounting kit. They may be hard to find
these days.)
