Here's some benchmarks of my PB 2400 vs. my iBook 600 using Norton System Info:
Test/2400/iBook/Performance improvement factor CPU/250/1254/5 FPU/339/1394/4.1 Video/122/957/7.8 Resource Comparisons: Base RAM/16M/128M/8 Max RAM/96M/640M/6.6 Pixels/480K/786K/1.6 Colors/16bit/24bit/1.5 Speakers/1/2/2 Battery time/2/5/2.5 L2 cache size/256K/256K/1 L2 Cache speed/40MHz/600Mhz/15 bus speed/40MHz/100MHz/2.5 Networking/230K/100M/434 PCMCIA slots/2/0/0 IRDA/1/0/0 The disk benchmarks would not run on the iBook probably due to some incompatibility with HFS+. I have the 2400 and iBook sitting side by side on my desk. The iBook looks quite large compared to the 2400. The 2400 has a prettier screen than the iBook. It is warmer and the colors seem a bit more intense. Brightness is comparable. Mike Friese ---------- Duo/2400 List, The friendliest place on the Net!
