Discovered my local 'Batteries Plus' vendor has powerbook batteries. Bought three, two type II and one type III. Engravings indicate same ratings as the dead apples I have.
Installed the two type II in 2 -250's with the one type III in a 280. One 250 is hooked to the proper AC power supply the other two are in Docs. I do not have an external charger. None were used for a period of 24 hours. None of the batteries have charged. When powered in the docs or on the AC cord all show the battery icon with an x through it. What does this mean and what do I do to fix it? Any body want a shot at rebuilding 4 dead Apple batteries? Any sources for an external charger module or additional AC cords?
