APM Tuner appears to be the solution to a problem I've had on an iBook 466 since
July.
http://www01.u-page.so-net.ne.jp/gb3/eijim/index-E.html

The problem manifests itself in OS 9 with the little yellow box that says "There is a
problem with HD X. Disk Corruption may have occurred. Use a Disk Repair utility." The
only problem is until you reset the Power Manager, nothing can touch the drive. When
you reset the Power Manager, nothing is wrong with the drive.

Thanks a lot.
