I did audio recording on my PB2400 with 10 GB drive and maybe had the same problem, but it was a Hitachi drive installed by MCE. The problem is that, once every 3-4 minutes, it will lose about 1 second of audio. I remember tryng some kind of app that was supposed to fix it, probably APM tuner, and it did not work. I never did find a solution.
