Jeff, I've installed OS 8.6 a number of times, primarily from a 8.6 
CD.  That said, I think most of the disk out there used 8.5(?) and 
then provided an 8.6 updater.

I'm not sure it matters, but how are the CDs labelled....and/or what 
Systems are actually on the CD?
