A program called "SCSI-probe" that's available in a few different places is useful for this kind of thing. It even lets you remount the drives while booted, so if you keep them on a separate power supply you can turn them off, fiddle with the hardware a turn them back on, and see if the new configuration mounts properly. -- Mike Hoye ---------- Duo/2400 List, The friendliest place on the Net!
