Hi Frank! I am using the Asante Micro EN/SC adapter with my minidock an a Duo2300c for a long time now. My network configuration is all around a 10bT-Hub (10mpbs), to which the Duo, a WS60 (for Backups and routing), a G3, the cable modem and a new iMac800 are connected. Works greatly in all directions, though I do not share files directly between Luxo (iMac) and my Duo, but use the WS60 as a Backup-Server in both directions.
I also connected the Duo with the EN/SC (via minidock) through a cross cable to the G3. Also worked. Am Dienstag den, 9. (should be labeled "other ethernet" or similar) * At least; perhaps BC is right, when he suggests, that there could be a speed detection problem with the iMac's 10/100 port He wrote (to which I agree): > Actually, I guess the problem is with the > EN/SC not being able to be recognized as a 10base-T > device by the switch. If you like, I could search for my crossover cable and try a crossover link between my duo and my iMac (by the way: which iMac model are you using?) Good luck, Axel. ---------- Duo/2400 List, The friendliest place on the Net! A listserv for users and fans of Mac subportables.
