Hi Frank!

I am using the Asante Micro EN/SC adapter with my minidock an a Duo2300c
for a long time now.
My network configuration is all around a 10bT-Hub (10mpbs), to which the
Duo, a WS60 (for Backups and routing), a G3, the cable modem and a new
iMac800 are connected.
Works greatly in all directions, though I do not share files directly
between Luxo (iMac) and my Duo, but use the WS60 as a Backup-Server in
both directions.

I also connected the Duo with the EN/SC (via minidock) through a cross
cable to the G3. Also worked.

* What is this lamp labeled? Is it on the EN/SC (the "LI" lamp, for
example?)

* Are you using the right drivers for the EN/SC and is the right
ethernet setting used in the apple talk control panel?
(should be labeled "other ethernet" or similar)

* At least; perhaps BC is right, when he suggests, that there could be a
speed detection problem with the iMac's 10/100 port

He wrote (to which I agree):

If you like, I could search for my crossover cable and try a crossover
link between my duo and my iMac (by the way: which iMac model are you
using?)

Good luck,
Axel.
