I second this, but it is the Asante that doesn't play well with the 
iMac, not the other way around. I have the same problem with the 
MicroAsanteprint I use to connect my printer. It needs to be on a 10 
base-T hub. If I connect it to a 100bT capable port (even 10/100) I only 
get a flashing link LED.
