Hi Tom,
Vectorworks 9 (formally known as MiniCad) is a great CAD software, it cross platform and has a built in 3D rendering package. I've used Microstation before, and it feels more like an engineering tool rather than for architects. My degree is in Architecture, but I actually prefer to use Illustrator with Cadtools for my CAD software. We use it in the office to crank out design/construction documents and get complements from our consultants all the time. The reason why I prefer Illustrator is because its a drawing tool first, a CAD tool second. This the the same concept when you draft by hand, you draw first, with a technical library second. Buy the way, I still have AutoCAD under VPC on my Mac, just in case... Vic Duong > Any architects/civil engineers out there?
