Electrical shorts on the board, requiring component level
repair....replacing diodes, etc...all that requires a delicate soldering
hand, and good knowledge.. DTTService is the place to go.

As I understand it, they have procured a fair amount of servicable
"boards"... I/O boards, logic boards, processor cards, ect... and when
you send in your box, your "bad board" is replaced with one of their
boards, and your bad board is then "recycled". I believe this is how
they operate. Although in some cases, they may actually be repairing the
bords you send in, but they have pretty quick turn times, so I think
they are swapping boards.

If someone has more info, that would be good.

In my case, I was referred to them by MCE. I called MCE after my 2400
started buzzing, and emitted smoke before I could get it unplugged and
the battery out of it. Turned out the logic board got fried. A bit over
200 bucks and three days later, I had it back. Pretty good deal,
considering my options.
