As said before, we may have to rely on reliable "proven" volunteers, on a
paid basis. I anticipated this in discussions already because it's clear the
retail network lacks 2400 qualified techs these days--a real headache for
the prospective manufacturer.

I still have all 240/120/512, 240/160/1, 320/160/1, 400/200/1, and a dead
G3-240 and 320. One day I'll post all the benchmarks, already done a couple
of years back with Norton & MacBench, no Libmoto. The problem is that the
ram/HD/software configs are different.

Compressed alu foil (see earlier post in this digest) does exactly that. If
you look inside a 3400/3500, Apple has an elaborate rectangular alu block
and heat pipe solution (we still have 4 Kangas running too)--made a big
investment in those days.

I think this is unnecessary and can be completely bypassed to simplify
future installations, but more critical temp evaluations should be
performed. It's obviously VERY effective, though.
