Okay, Bored today, and I have seen the specials on IBM Firewire cards at OWC. Anyway, I popped the top off of my 2400c/180 to see if mine was the type with the yellow trace wires on the MB. (I thought I had seen them last time I had it open....) It is...I think....
Anyway, I was wondering if someone could verify this info for me. My two wires on the top of the MB are like those shown on http://www2.powerbook.org/lovemb/2400/cardbus.html One goes to Y2. The other goes to an unnamed part. I don't use my 2400c enough to warrant spending the utterly reasonable price that MCE charges, but I would like to be able to use my external FW drive with my 2400. Can anyone verify that if I cut these two little wires (And make sure that the ends don't touch, and make sure I don't GLOD my machine) that it ought to allow me to use CardBus cards?
