BTW,

As I opened my 2400c today, I was reminded that the folks at DT&T do a
pretty darned good job.

Here's the history:

I bought my 2400c off of eBay DOA. When I got it in the mail, it was
obvious that some moron had opened it and just butchered the thing
trying to fix it. There were only about 1/3 to 1/2 of the original
screws in the machine, and the rest had been lost or thrown out, or who
knows. Also, the trackpad cable was broken. The exterior of the machine
was in great shape, however.

I shipped it to P. Liethen for an impromptu paint job (THANKS PETER!)
which looks wonderful. I don't know if he is offering upgrade, etc
services anymore, but if he is, his work is impeccable.

After the Detour, it went to DT&T, and I received it back in perfect
working order. When I opened it today, all parts were in place, all of
the missing screws were replaced, and all was done quite well. I
expected no less, but I thought I would mention it.

I did have to ask them to mail me back out my rear port door and the
plastic pieces that cover the screw holes below the screen, but no other
problems than those.

Just FYI,

Tom
