It's SCSI and usually quite cheap, less than $100 used. Just make sure the glass isn't scratched and the scanner travels smoothly along it's rails. Mine had been shipped a few times and one of the rails had popped out but I was able to open it up and fix it. It comes with stand-alone software (VISTASCAN) and a photoshop type plugin for scanning directly from applications.
