If you hook up both an external SCSI hard drive and the CD drive to your 2300
,you can load OS 7.5or 8.1 onto the external Hard drive. I would load one
OS as a custom installation and select The "OS for any computer " rather than
"OS for this computer". This procedure will leave you with an external Drive
to boot from.
This way you can hook up to any computer, that is experiencing problems , and
diagnose the situation. You could even load norton utilities or Tech tool pro,on the
external drive to properly fix problems.
This is what I have done for situations were I cannot get at files on a computer,
that
won't boot up using the internal OS
I suggest this because , allot of external CD drives will not boot up properly.

Cheers
Carlos
