The beauty of Duos is that there are basically nine parts. Lower half of 
the bottom, upper half of the bottom, the keyboard, the main lb, the power 
card/modem, memory card, the back port cover, the HD, and the screen/frame 
(I count the screen as one part because there's seldom any reason to take 
it apart). There's not much to spill :) You probably only need to take off 
the keyboard itself.

It shouldn't. At worst you'll have to turn off the Express Modem in the 
extensions manager. A couple of my Duos work just fine, a few I have to 
turn it off.
