Herb, just a bit more info with Ben's caution above....the keyboard
connectors are flat cable connectors. The way to remove the cable is to use
something with a pointy end (I have a set of dental picks I use for such
things.....tho the pocketknife works well, too) and carefully pull the two
tabs on either side of the ribbon cable in the same direction as the cable.
The latching cover should slide out and release the flatcable. To reinsert,
get the cable in place and push the cover all the way back in.

Why am I saying this? A WinDoze tech once pulled the connectors off the
logic board of a Dell while (attempting) servicing on the unit, couldn't
figure out how the cables came loose. BTW, saw a sig today....."Dell, the
choice of post-pubescient potheads." HATE that commercial! (we have
Dells....nice units if you don't mind swapping them out every 3 to 5
months....and I'm not kidding....one guy has gone thru 5 units in as many
months)

As for the keyboard, they <<do>> go bad. I still see some Rev. "F" (the last
and best) new keyboards on eBay and at some of the suppliers' sites.

Having just stuck a 10 gig HD into Querida, my 2300, I'm happy to say that
she still runs just great. She sits by the radios and runs a satellite
tracking program...still a fine lady.

And, Brandy, PLEASE send us some rain!!! My front yard looks like the Sahara
Desert!

Cheers;
Andrew
