I just bought myself a Duo 280 off of eBay with a couple of batteries, battery charger
and ac cord. At the same time, I was trying to run MS Office 4 on my LCIII as sort of
an app server- only to find that that old version of Office requires a PPC processor.
I have since seen an eBay listing for a Duo 230 with a 2300 motherboard/chip
transplant. Is this possible? I'd like to be able to get Office and a few other apps
on my Duo 280 so I can use it in class for word processing, mild powerpoint framing,
and email. If a 2300 motherboard transplant is possible and reasonably priced, I'd
like to do it. Otherwise, what are my options for productivity software (a la MS
Office) and email software?
