"On the older duos like I have you only have to remove the keyboard to
unplug the internal drive from the mother board. This is just done long
enough to boot off the other drive, set the startup disk, and then you
can reconnect the internal. Sometimes when you do this you have to
reboot a couple of times before it boots for the external. I'm not sure
why this is."

I have a Duo 2300 with a 1.1 gb IDE drive. I recently bought a 2.1 gb
drive that I'd like to format, but I'm having trouble with SCSI Disk Mode.
How can I format that drive and transfer my data from my old drive? I don't
have a working Duo Dock but have a minidock and a floppy drive. Can you
format IDE drives by connecting one to the motherboard?

When I've connected my duo to a 6100 with SCSI disk mode, I get the SCSI
icon on the duo but the duo doesn't mount on the 6100. Norton says that the
duo partitions are irreparably damaged and I should recover the data from
them, but the computer boots fine and everything works well. I have
repaired both partitions on the duo with Disk First Aide.

I've tried to mount the duo on the 6100 using drive setup but I keep
getting a Type 3 error message. SCSI Probe hasn't worked. When I've tried
FWB MOUNTER the cursor keeps flashing FWB but the program never really
starts up.
