Yes, it finally dawned on me to reformat the 128mb module. I took it directly 
out of my Canon Elf camera and it showed up on the desk top as usual just 
like when I transfer digital photos and it, of course, would accept anything 
my PB 2400 would copy to it.

However, it would not let the system folder become "blessed" and, therefore, 
serve as a start up and repair disk. 

I finally realized that I needed to reformat in Mac HFS+ heirarchy and, 
voila, it then allowed the newly copied system folder to be blessed.
