Hi Mark,

I feel I must be honest and tone down my "negative" review of
LinuxPPC on the 2400c... and ask you some questions in the meantime:

a) Network PC cards indeed worked, but I couldn't get USB and
Firewire to work. Were you successful? What about PCMCIA hard drives
or memory cards?

b) (I must admit I'm a bit paranoid when notebooks heat up too much,
so take the following with a pinch of salt). When I said that the
computer became too hot to the touch in no time, I should have said
"my experience was that when PC cards were extracted they came out
too hot to the touch, and so was the computer". At the moment I
thought that maybe LinuxPPC didn't turn off power to inactive PC
cards and that's why I said that power saving features appeared to be
missing, but I really don't know for certain. As for battery life and
presentations, I really don't have a clue so I'll take it from you.
