Green = charged and ready to use amber = charging red = battery's bad. Even if you see 10v, it may not enough to get the Duo up and running. Ideally it should be closer to 12v and should have plenety of amps. If the battery can only hold, oh say, 10mAh forget about it. If the light turns red in a few minutes after being inserted, you have a shorted battery in the pack and shouldn't be used. Another thing to keep in kine, the original model charger can only charge Type 1 battery. Later model can charge Type 2 and 3 although some charger may need a little firmware update to work properly with Type 3. ---------- Duo/2400 List, The friendliest place on the Net!
