Before you go swapping parts, etc...for the hell of it, try to boot from something like techtool pro, and run diagnostics on your drive, files etc. Having bought several pbs off of ebay, I would get them thinking they were really messed up, but in fact, it turned out to be really bad system software and configuration issues...even with extensions off...also, are you sure you have the upgrade drivers?...an interware 240???
