Hi Listers,

I recently purchased another Duo 280... a new toy
which I needed like another hole in my head.

That aside, its a great machine, max
memory/storage/good cosmetics, etc, and works great
except for one problem....the power switch on the rear
of the 280 doesn't function. To shutdown and re-boot
after a crash or freeze I must resort to disconnecting
the AC adapter (no battery installed).

I'd like to think this is just a plain-old,
non-functioning switch in the DC supply line but its
been suggested that software and/or a board may be
involved.

Would be grateful for any/all advice.

Best

Jack C.
