Thank you John and Jose, Type 3 battery by Absolute; part no. 12285. I've renovated NiCads with the "zap of life" to burn out the dentrites. Does this work the same way with NiMN's?
It seems that opening the battery case and zapping shorted cells individually would be better though. Anyone have the no doubt past posts or a URL on how best to do this? X-acto toward the top or bottom of the joint? The 2 PRAM batteries - anyone every replace them with any other type? Anyone every disable the recharging circuit?
