Thanks for the info Joel.George,
I do have another expired 2400c which I can use for parts - but which parts to use?!?
I was wondering if a faulty connection on the I/O board could be causing the PRAM failure? 2400c's tend to get quite hot, maybe the solder gets weak over time? I'm sort of clutching at straws now....
G
Others on the list are much better informed than me, but I've been told by some that my problems are likely I/O board and by some that they are processor-daughter card. And I have a sneaky suspicion that it's all in the contacts between the boards; new cards have new contacts. But who knows, I'm good at diasassembly/assembly, but electronics troubleshooting isn't part of my skill set yet.
Best,
joel
