I heard it this afternoon on my 270C. The chime sucks and now so does the 270C. It appears dead in every respect. I've reset the power manger on the back, swapped memory and hard drive, all with no luck. Does this mean it's time to write an obituary and scatter its ashes out to sea or is there something else I can try? I'd really like to get it working again as it's been a very good computer. Can a 270C be converted to a 1400 as has been discussed here recently? Chuck
