There shouldn't be any trick. The 4 screws on top of the cage are supposed to be removable. Maybe someone glued them! Sent Pismo to the 3 times before they got it right. Sloppy work. Suggest MacResQ instead for USA, but UK repair would be way cheaper. Dunno where tho.
