Ralph Mawyer, Jr.I kind of doubt that it's the hard drive. I used to experience a crash on wake-up but with just about every incarnation of my 2400. I got into the habit of spinning down the drive and dimming the screen manually. I don't know why, but the problem just "went away". Although I have noticed it happens when I leave certain applications open while sleeping, like Internet Explorer.Andy --------PowerBook 2400c, Mac OS 9.1, NUPower G3, New TravelStar 40GNX 20 gig: when I
wake it from sleep I just get a black screen with the drive spinning. Pressing
the reset button on the back of the PowerBook shuts it down, then I can start
it by pressing the on/off key and everything appears to be normal again. Any
