[Duo2400] Re: G3 Upgrades

Larry, between eBay, and I think recently here, you can probably buy 
a 2400 with an Interware G3 for around $600 or so.  Finding the card 
by itself will be rare as previously stated.  The nice thing is that 
an upgraded 2400 will usually have lots of other nice bells and 
whistles like big HD, CardBus, maybe translucent keyboard, etc. Sell 
your 2400 for $300 or so or keep it as a spare....or if you are 
really attached to yours swap the boards and then resell the machine 
with your 603e in it for $250. Net price of $350 makes it a 
good/great deal.

The Newer cards are a bit more problematic since they tend to run a 
bit hotter, but for the right price it might be worth a shot...

Just a tentative question, what's the likely hood of finding a G3 
upgrade for my 2400? What am I looking to pay? Everything else about 
the 2400 is set, got a big ol hard drive and both my systems are 
stable. Haven't pursued a wi-fi card yet for financial reasons.
