<< Any thoughts as to how I can resurrect the hard drive in my duo dock that this battery has apparently somehow killed? It's completely disappeared off my desktop. Norton's found it last night, called it damaged and could not repair it. Today, even Norton's can't find it. The OS is having trouble recognising the floppy drive in the dock as well. My next step is to reinstall my system software onto the 280c drive, as I'm theorizing that perhaps the disk drivers have been corrupted. >> I would try a PRAM zap before doing all of that, then try rebuilding the Duo and the Dock's harddrives. If you haven't already... The fact that the hard drive AND the floppy from the Dock are not being seen would lead me to first consider that the dock has a problem as opposed to your Duo and/or its OS. Did Norton "reliably access" the dock HD? Perhaps U need to check the Duo's internal connections? I have used Duos & Docks since they came out, and I have *never* had a problem with the FLOPPY not being seen... Craig W. ---------- Duo/2400 List, The friendliest place on the Net!
