Here is my latest problem, though. I "won" an ebay auction for a "new" duo battery, and it arrived today. However, when I put it in the duo, the machine promptly dies. It came with some upgrade software (it's a type III battery) which I installed. It still dies.
The other day I was browsing thru Micro Center in Houston Texas, and I
happened to see a new BTI Duo battery for sale for $35. I bought it, and it works
great.
For what it is worth...
Argh, rub salt into the wound! I tried my local campus computer store and they wanted $99. I got the one I'm having the problem with on ebay for $51 (including shipping). It's an Apple battery and it looks new...original packaging, software disk still sealed, etc.
