There is nothing on the screen. It is bright but nothing shows up. Also I tried resetting the PRAM, but I never got a second start up sound. I also tried starting from the Disk tools disk, but got nothing there either. The floppy makes noises like it is trying to read from it, but nothing comes on the screen.
Where is the RAM card and how to I reseat it?

As you have a mini dock you might try and start from a floppy or external HD
to find out. Another possibility: Unseated RAM card. You'd have to remove
the keyboard to take a look.

I am reposting this question since I didn't get a response last time. Maybe it is a stupid question but here it is:
I have a 2300c that won't start. It begins startup, makes noises like it is starting and the screen gets bright, but no apple logo comes on. I tried starting with the shift key depressed, but it doesn't make any difference.
It has a Newer mini dock, which has always been temperamental, but it doesn't' matter if the dock is connected or not. Any ideas?
