It is probably not the backlight itself, but rather the inverter board that
drives it (or the power to the inverter board,) I am not a 2400 owner, but
from other PB's I would suggest that you first check the fuse on the
inverter board (unless the new screen was a complete assembly with inverter)
and then check the fuses on the motherboard (also if you can work out the
pin-out then check that power is getting to the inverter.)
