I have done it with the dock, with the built in ethernet. It was a no brainer activate appletalk over the ethernet and that was it. if you want to go without the dock you will need an appletalk to ethernet bridge device.
However,I cannot remember if the duo will not be able to read files on the eMac, HD format issue I think.

Before you move everything buy a really long cable(100 footer) and try it.

Is anyone currently running OSX and Mac OS7 on an ethernet hub and successfully connecting both OSs via LAN?

If so, were there any special configurations necessary? I would like to get my duo on the network and keep duo apps on my eMac, opening them from the eMac's hard drive, but a quick answer here may save me a lot of time moving the docked duo near the ethernet hub, connecting monitor, etc. etc.

Thanks so much for your anticipated help.

Alex
