I cannot believe that I haven't thought of this. I've had almost the
exact same problem with my 2400 for a long time... once, I dug in and
unplugged the PRAM batt and it worked. Plugged it back in (thinking
that was sufficient to clear the pram), rebooted the machine, much
crashing and no more boot.
Anyone have a line on 2400 pram batteries?
